IVisionWorks , a company specializing in secondary battery and semiconductor vision inspection, announced on the 20th that it was selected as an 'AI Factory Specialized Company' hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Evaluation and Planning (KEIT).
The "AI Factory Specialist" program identifies and fosters companies developing or supplying artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the autonomous manufacturing field. Its goal is to foster an AI-based manufacturing ecosystem and enhance productivity. Selected companies will receive various benefits, including preferential treatment when applying for future pilot projects, financial support, consulting, awards, and promotional opportunities.
IVisionWorks was selected as a specialized company based on its track record of implementing AI-based inspection systems in manufacturing lines since 2017. Currently, the company supplies inspection systems based on AI machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) technologies to domestic and international secondary battery manufacturers, and is expanding its business into the display and semiconductor sectors.
A company official stated, “By applying AI technology to manufacturing sites, we expect to see tangible results, such as increased productivity and improved work environments,” adding, “We will use this selection as an opportunity to further strengthen our competitiveness in the smart factory sector.”
