Jeju Center Makes Seed Investment in CPX Systems

Jeju Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Lee Byeong-seon, hereinafter referred to as Jeju Center) announced that it has made a seed investment in CPX Systems (CEO Choi Won), a startup developing AI-based predictive maintenance solutions for wind power generation facilities, through the 'Jeju Early Startup Incubation Fund' jointly operated with MY Social Company (CEO Kim Jeong-tae, hereinafter referred to as MYSC).

Through this investment, Jeju Center will promote innovation in renewable energy linked to Jeju's wind power industry ecosystem and support CPX Systems' growth into an AI-based industrial predictive diagnostics company.

CPX Systems, Inc. develops predictive maintenance solutions that support structural safety monitoring, preventive diagnostics, and lifespan prediction for wind power generation equipment. The company's flagship product, CyPHAI, combines remote laser ultrasound technology with AI-based cyber-physical systems (CPS) technology to enable real-time structural monitoring, preventive diagnostics, and maintenance. This reduces maintenance costs, predicts equipment lifespan, and improves energy efficiency.

Founded in 2023, CPX Systems Co., Ltd. received the first AI Reliability Certification (CAT) in the energy and power generation sector from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) last year. Furthermore, the company is making initial market inroads through demonstration projects with domestic renewable energy companies and plans to expand the scope of its technology application to construction and civil engineering, aerospace, and manufacturing.

Won Choi, CEO of CPX Systems, holds a PhD in aerospace engineering and structural optimization design. He previously conducted research and development at Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) and Hanwha Aerospace. He is currently pursuing research and development based on his expertise and expertise, working with experts with master's and doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer engineering.

Jeju Center CEO Lee Byeong-seon said, “CPX Systems possesses core technologies that can be expanded beyond the wind power generation sector to various industries,” and added, “Through this investment, we plan to actively support strengthening ties with Jeju’s wind power generation industry and further leading innovation in the domestic renewable energy industry.”
