The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim, hereinafter referred to as the “Gyeonggi Innovation Center”) announced on the 21st that it will be recruiting participating companies for the open innovation program “2025 KT Collaboration,” jointly operated with KT, until September 5th.
"KT Collaboration" is a public-private partnership commercialization support program jointly promoted by the Gyeonggi Innovation Center and KT since 2017. It connects various business units within KT with startups through technology verification (PoC), joint development, and commercialization, providing practical opportunities for collaboration. To date, 117 projects have been completed, and some companies have achieved follow-up results, including PoC contracts with KT, joint ventures, and direct investments.
This year's program targets companies that can collaborate with KT in areas such as ▲AI·Cloud ▲ICT convergence ▲Media·Content ▲Other fields, and any company registered as a corporate business as of the recruitment announcement date can apply.
Selected companies will be matched with KT business divisions on one-on-one collaborative projects and receive up to 100 million won in commercialization funding. Additional support is also available, including acceleration support from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, corporate promotion, and provision of office space (subject to separate review).
An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “This program has established itself as an open innovation model that goes beyond technology verification and leads to actual commercialization and investment,” adding, “We hope that startups with growth potential will collaborate with KT this year to create new opportunities.”
