KAIST Youth Startup Investment Holdings Selected as Accelerator for the Yongin Biohealth Specialized Center

KAIST Youth Venture Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as KVI) announced on the 22nd that it has been selected as the accelerating operating organization for the 'Yongin Biohealth Specialized Center' established by Yongin City and Yongin City Industrial Promotion Agency, and will begin recruiting promising biohealth startups and conducting specialized accelerating programs in earnest.

The 'Yongin Biohealth Specialized Center' will serve as a startup support base to support the growth of early-stage companies in the biohealth field. In addition to providing space for entry, it will also operate various customized programs such as commercialization, investment linkage, and networking.

KVI will provide practical, performance-focused acceleration for participating companies through customized growth strategy development, professional mentoring, investor connections, and Demo Day hosting. Leveraging KAIST's research infrastructure and experience in the bio and deep tech sectors, KVI will support startups' scale-up efforts.

Recruitment is open to aspiring entrepreneurs and companies established within the past seven years across all biohealth sectors, including AI, digital healthcare, medical devices, biodiagnostics, and pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Selected companies will receive free space and the opportunity to participate in KVI's accelerator program.

The application period for companies to move in is from Wednesday, August 13, 2025 to Tuesday, August 26, 2025, and applications can be submitted online through the Yongin City Industrial Promotion Agency's Yongin Enterprise Support System (ybiz.or.kr).

A KVI official stated, “Through this program, we will strengthen our support to discover promising biohealth startups early on and help them achieve tangible commercialization and investment results.”
