IL Receives IATF 16949:2016 Certification for Automotive Industry Quality Management System

New technology materials company IL announced on the 22nd that it has received certification for the automotive industry quality management system 'IATF 16949:2016' from the international certification agency URS (United Registrar of Systems).

IATF 16949 is the highest quality standard required by major global automotive manufacturers. Companies that achieve this certification are qualified to enter the global automotive supply chain. With this certification, IL has proven that it meets stringent standards in quality control, production capacity, and delivery reliability.

Based on this certification, IL's new silicone lens technology will be used as a key material for lamp components by global automakers. This signifies that the company's manufacturing capabilities have been officially recognized as a key requirement for entry into the global auto supply chain, and is expected to positively impact new orders and a higher share of global sales.

With this certification, IL plans to accelerate its efforts to secure new project orders from North American and European automakers and expand its electrical components business.

An IL official said, “IATF 16949 certification means securing technological reliability for expanding global partnerships,” and “Based on our experience in commercializing silicon lens lamp component technology, we will also complete the development of cathode metal sheet technology, a solid-state battery material, and leap forward as a global company based on new technologies.”
