Daejeon Innovation Center concludes 'Hana One Q Idea Challenge'

The Daejeon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Daehee Park, hereinafter referred to as the Daejeon Innovation Center) announced on the 22nd that it had concluded the financial innovation idea competition 'Hana One Q Idea Challenge' at the Daejeon Startup Park on the 19th.

This competition was designed as an opportunity to discover creative ideas that solve various problems in everyday life through creative solutions called 'financial services' and to confirm the potential of entrepreneurship.

A total of 12 teams from the general league and high school league advanced to the finals and went through presentation evaluation, and the grand prize, excellence award, and encouragement award winners were selected through the evaluation.

In the general league, three teams were honored with awards: ▲ Grand Prize winner Park Su-hyeok and four others ▲ Excellence Prize winners Kim Hyo-eun and Lee So-hyeon. In the high school league, three teams were honored with awards: ▲ Grand Prize winner Kim Do-yeon (Hosudon Girls' High School) ▲ Excellence Prize winners Daejeon Girls' High School and Daejeon Daeshin High School. A total of 5 million won in prize money was awarded to the winning teams through Hana Bank.

At the awards ceremony, Daehee Park, CEO of Daejeon Innovation Center, and Dongyeol Lee, Vice President of Hana Bank's Chungcheong Sales Group, attended to personally present the awards and encourage the youth and young adults to take on challenges.

Meanwhile, Daejeon Innovation Center childcare company Hayanmind Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeongmin Oh) also participated in this competition, adding meaning to the event by supporting the strengthening of participants' global capabilities through the English learning app 'Red Kiwi'.

Hana Bank Vice President Lee Dong-yeol said, “Through this competition, we were able to confirm once again that the starting point of a startup is not grand technology, but a sense of problem and the will to take action to solve small inconveniences in everyday life.” He added, “Going forward, Hana Bank will continue to provide various support and opportunities so that students and young people can develop their dreams through finance.”

Daejeon Innovation Center CEO Park Dae-hee said, “The participants demonstrated the potential for entrepreneurship by solving everyday problems with creative financial ideas,” and added, “Starting with this competition, we will continue to operate innovative and diverse entrepreneurship support programs so that the fresh perspectives of students and young people can lead to actual entrepreneurship.”
