Smart Food Networks secures 15 billion won in investment, accelerating the digitalization of the restaurant industry.

Smart Food Networks (SFN), a foodservice commerce and tech startup, has successfully secured a Series C round of funding totaling 15 billion won. This round included follow-on investments from existing key investors, along with participation from new strategic investors.

SFN secured a Pre-Series A investment in 2021 and a KRW 40 billion Series B round in 2022, demonstrating its corporate value even amidst the economic downturn. The funds secured through this Series C round will be used to support the digital transformation of the restaurant industry, including enhancing logistics infrastructure and strengthening data-driven services.

Currently, SFN operates "Food UP," a food distribution service for franchise headquarters, and "Differentiated Video Sales," a food supply platform for small business owners in the general restaurant industry. The launch of "Food UP HQ," an integrated solution exclusively for franchise headquarters, is also imminent.

"Food UP" is a brand-tailored food distribution service currently used by over 80 franchise headquarters, and 24 new brands have joined this year alone. The newly launched "Food UP HQ" is a platform that integrates and manages all aspects of franchise management, including ordering, sales, settlement, reviews, and franchisee communication. Its management automation capabilities are particularly valuable to small and medium-sized franchise headquarters, which often struggle to implement ERP systems, and are expected to generate significant market demand.

Launched in June 2023, "Different Video Shopping" has recorded approximately 180,000 cumulative transactions to date, with sales in the first half of 2025 increasing 66.5% year-on-year. The company is securing repeat purchases and customer loyalty through differentiated services such as nationwide D-1 delivery, optimal temperature storage in refrigerators, and industry-specific food ingredient suggestions.

The management service 'Differentiation Ledger' has recently received user feedback that its latest update automatically collects sales data without the need for POS program installation and provides sales leaderboards by menu, thereby increasing operational efficiency.

CEO Heo Jeong-eun stated, “SFN will provide a management system that contributes substantially to increasing restaurant sales and profits as well as improving store operational efficiency based on integrated data analysis.”
