CNT Tech Hosts 'Biz Matching Day'

CNT Tech (CEO Jeon Hwa-seong) announced that on August 22nd, it held a ‘Business Matching Day’, a networking event for collaboration and growth for students selected for the program, at the Gyeonggi Northern Youth Entrepreneurship Academy.

At the Biz Matching Day held on August 22nd, we had time to gain insight into startups' global expansion strategies through a special lecture titled 'Global Startup Story' by Naorig CEO Lee Kyung-ryun, who has global startup experience in Cambodia (Phnom Penh), the United States (Austin), and Vietnam (Hanoi), and who supports Korean startups in entering the Japanese market, networking with large Japanese companies and VCs, and planning and operating business programs.

Seo Da-ye, CEO of Gyeonggi Northern Youth Center, who attended the lecture, said, “I was preparing to expand globally to Japan and the United States, and I had many concerns about how to build a network and generate sales. I was grateful to CEO Lee Gyeong-ryun for sharing her case studies of expanding overseas and the difficulties she actually faced, as well as the insights she provided as a fellow female CEO.” She added, “It was very helpful in preparing for my business trip to Japan and expansion into the United States in the second half of the year. I am grateful to the Gyeonggi Northern Youth Center management for creating such a great opportunity.”

Park Jeong-sook, Director of the Gyeonggi Northern Youth Entrepreneurship Academy, said, "When early-stage startups struggle to enter the global market, sharing the experiences of experienced startups is crucial for understanding the market, establishing networks, and reducing practical trial and error. This, in turn, can lead to improved business performance and management capabilities. We organized this event because success stories and failures in global expansion can be effective in identifying the necessary preparations (e.g., local service/product adaptation, partner discovery, networking) in advance. I believe today's lecture provided many practical examples and insights. I hope it was helpful to the Gyeonggi Northern Youth Entrepreneurship Academy companies."

The Youth Entrepreneurship Academy, operated by the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, is a leading domestic startup support program. It identifies promising young startups with innovative technologies and provides them with up to KRW 100 million in commercialization funding, along with comprehensive support for training, coaching, office space, and prototype production. The Gyeonggi Northern Youth Entrepreneurship Academy, in particular, operates on an investment basis. CNT Tech, the operator, directly selects and nurtures students, offering specialized training and investment-linked opportunities for scale-up.
