Pablo Airlines Signs MOU with Quopin

Pablo Aviation (CEO Kim Young-jun), a company specializing in autonomous swarm control of unmanned vehicles, announced on the 27th that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with advanced semiconductor company Quopin (CEO Lee Sang-hoon) at its headquarters in Songdo, Incheon on the 26th.

This agreement focuses on "collaboration on swarm drone and ultra-low-latency video transmission technologies," and aims to jointly develop and commercialize drones to enhance their technological competitiveness. The two companies plan to collaborate on further advancing drone technology and expanding its application.

Pablo Aviation and Quopin were selected for the second round of the "Defense Industry Innovation 100 Project," co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). Their technological prowess in drones and semiconductors, respectively, was recognized. This project supports the discovery and development of small and medium-sized enterprises and venture companies possessing future technologies in five key defense strategic industries: space, semiconductors, AI, drones, and robotics.

Pablo Aviation is developing swarm drone technology capable of reconnaissance and suicide missions, while Quopin is researching next-generation system semiconductors that combine edge AI and security technologies with semiconductors dedicated to ultra-high definition (UHD) ultra-low latency video transmission.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to apply the technology not only to military applications but also to civilian sectors. Specifically, they plan to integrate ultra-low-latency video transmission technology and edge AI analysis capabilities into various industrial drones, such as infrastructure inspections and facility inspections, thereby enhancing drones' real-time responsiveness and swarm operation capabilities.

Kim Young-jun, CEO of Pablo Aviation, said, “This agreement will serve as a foundation for creating market performance by combining each company’s core technologies,” and added, “We will expand cases of technological convergence within the drone industry through a cooperative model focused on product development and commercialization.”

“High-reliability, high-performance video transmission technology is in demand not only in the military but also in various industrial fields,” said Lee Sang-hoon, CEO of Quopin. “Through cooperation between our two companies, we will simultaneously increase technological perfection and usability.”
