Sandoll Signs Business Agreement with NC AI

Content creator platform company Sandoll (CEO Youngho Yoon) announced on the 27th that it has signed a strategic business agreement with NCsoft's AI subsidiary NC AI (CEO Yeonsu Lee) and will begin joint development of AI-based next-generation content production technology.

This agreement was signed at Sandoll's headquarters, and the two companies set a common goal of developing AI technology-based solutions that can respond to the global content industry through collaboration and supporting the global expansion of K-content.

According to the agreement, the two companies plan to sequentially apply NC AI's ultra-large language model 'VARCO' series and multimodal video and conversation automation model 'VARCO Vision' to Sandoll's font platform 'Sandoll Cloud' in the form of SaaS (Software as a Service).

NC AI, a technology-based company selected as a representative company for the government's "Independent AI Project," is commercializing generative AI solutions in various fields. Sandoll, a leader in the domestic font industry, boasts over 2 million subscribers centered around its Sandoll Cloud platform and provides font assets and content creation tools.

Through this collaboration, Sandoll expects to increase content production efficiency by integrating functions such as automatic text generation, multilingual conversion, and automatic font style application into the Sandoll Cloud platform, and to provide a multimedia creation environment that can be utilized in various industries.

Yoon Young-ho, CEO of Sandoll, said, “This collaboration is a turning point for the Sandoll Cloud platform to evolve into an AI-based multimedia production platform that can be utilized in various fields such as games, advertising, commerce, education, and media.” He added, “We will provide advanced services based on actual user feedback to enhance the production competitiveness of creators and corporate customers.”

NC AI CEO Lee Yeon-soo said, “Through our collaboration with Sandoll, we have been able to expand the scope of application of the VARCO model across the creative industry,” and “By combining AI technology with Sandoll’s content platform, we will contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of K-content.”

The two companies plan to run a beta program in the future to collect user feedback, then launch the official service and continue joint development of AI-based content creation technology.

This agreement is an extension of the AI collaboration that Sandol has been pursuing with LG CNS, Eastsoft, and others, and is interpreted as a move to diversify AI-based businesses and strengthen platform competitiveness.
