Rentree attracts investment… "Hana Ventures, Future Play, IBK Venture Investment, and others participate."

Digital rental distribution platform Rentre announced on the 28th that it has secured a total of 4.1 billion won in Series A funding. This round was led by Hana Ventures, with participation from Futureplay, IBK Venture Investment, D.Camp, Magellan Technology Investment, Woori Financial Capital, and DASUNG Ventures.

Rentree is a platform that allows customers to compare, consult, contract, and settle rentals for a variety of products, including lifestyle products, home appliances, and telecommunications, all online, without having to wait in person. Key features include reverse auction-style quote comparisons, an escrow-based settlement system, automatic installation certification image review, and AI-based automated consultations. This platform provides transparency and convenience to consumers and operational efficiency to partners.

Rentree plans to use this investment to expand its marketing efforts to raise brand awareness, enhance its AI consulting technology, develop SaaS solutions for partners, and strengthen its onboarding and acquisition process for manufacturers.

Seo Hyun-dong, CEO of Rentree, said, “We are seeking to transform the rental industry through distribution innovation based on data, AI, and fintech.”

Jeon Jae-kwon, a senior researcher at Hana Ventures, said, “Rentree is transforming the existing inefficient rental distribution structure into a platform-centered one,” and evaluated that “it has high market growth potential as a model that can simultaneously improve customer experience and partner operational stability.”
