Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Oh Deuk-chang, hereinafter referred to as Sejong Center) held the 4th Sejong Startup Investment Forum and Chungcheong Region Joint IR '4th Season Demo Day in Sejong – Summer Fever' Demo Day on Wednesday, August 27th.
Following the 4th Sejong Startup Investment Forum, the Sejong Center hosted "4th Season Demo Day in Sejong – Summer Fever," providing a networking opportunity for local entrepreneurs and investors. Approximately 100 entrepreneurs, investors, and officials from related organizations attended, providing a forum for mutual communication.
In the opening lecture of the Sejong Startup Investment Forum, Kim Seon-woo, Director of the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI), presented on "Growth and Challenges of Tech Startups" and proposed policy support directions for technology commercialization. Following this, Yoon Hee-sik, Executive Director of Microsoft (MS), presented on "Global GovTech and AI Innovation Trends and Issues," emphasizing overseas expansion strategies for Korean startups.
At the IR Demo Day 'Summer Fever' held afterwards, excellent local startups (8 companies) nurtured by the Chungcheong Creative Economy Innovation Center (South Chungcheong, North Chungcheong, Daejeon, and Sejong) took the stage to give IR pitches and explored investment opportunities through 1:1 meetups with VCs and ACs.
Oh Deuk-chang, CEO of the Sejong Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, said, “The Chungcheong region’s investment network has been further strengthened through regular Chungcheong region joint IR events,” and “We will continue to actively support the growth of local startups through forums and IR demo days.”
