Nosh Project Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Da-yoon), which operates the premium snack brand 'Jagalchi Ojimae' using ingredients from traditional markets, has been selected for the Small Business Corporation's 2025 LIPS program.
The LIPS (Low-Income Investment Program for Small Businesses) program, designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise Market Promotion Agency, allows private operators to invest in small businesses with high growth potential, then match the investment with government funding. The Nosh Project received a KRW 100 million preemptive investment from Calls Dynamics in March of last year, recognizing its growth potential. This year, the company received additional support through a LIPS program recommendation.
In the year since the investment, the Nosh Project has achieved sales of 350 million won in 2024 and has been selected as one of Busan Metropolitan City's top 10 tourist souvenirs. Going forward, the company plans to expand its product lineup to include not only dried fish from Busan's Jagalchi region but also other local specialties, such as dried seaweed from Seosan, South Chungcheong Province, and apples from Jangseong, South Jeolla Province.
In particular, starting in August 2025, we will begin supplying 12,000 products to Canadian buyers and pursue full-scale entry into overseas markets. Based on global certifications such as HACCP and KMF Halal certification, we plan to promote the quality competitiveness of Korean local snacks overseas.
CEO Kang Da-yoon said, “Through Jagalchi Ojimae, we will lead the globalization of local Korean snacks and grow into a representative K-snack brand.”
Meanwhile, CallsDynamics, the private operator of LIPS, is a local startup accelerator founded in 2013. It has nurtured a total of 3,273 companies and secured investments totaling 41 billion won. Following the Nosh Project, the company plans to invest in seven additional companies in the second half of this year.
“The LIPS program will be a turning point in helping small business owners grow into entrepreneurs,” said Kang Jong-su, CEO of Calls Dynamics. “We will expand on these success stories and contribute to building a Korean-style entrepreneurial ecosystem for small business owners.”
