Reusable container service company Itgreen announced on the 29th that its reusable cup circulation system 'Return Cup' was selected as an excellent industrial design product at the 2025 Good Design Awards.
The Good Design Awards, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), are Korea's most prestigious design awards. Pursuant to the Industrial Design Promotion Act, products are comprehensively evaluated for their appearance, functionality, usability, aesthetics, and economic feasibility. Products that demonstrate outstanding excellence are awarded the "GD (Good Design)" mark.
The "Return Cup," recently selected as an excellent design, was recognized for its innovative design, based on real-world data, addressing the low recovery rate, inconvenient usability, and leakage/breakage issues of existing reusable cups. The Return Cup features structural and experiential improvements, including: Available in four capacities (12oz, 16oz, 20oz, and 24oz); compatibility with screw-on and disposable lids; and high-strength, eco-friendly materials that can be washed over 100 times.
The product's exterior incorporates a color identity inspired by traditional jade, ensuring both visibility and aesthetic perfection in public spaces. The intuitive form enhances ease of use and minimizes unnecessary elements to enhance stability. It is designed to enable anyone to naturally practice environmental friendliness.
Return Cups are used in various living spaces such as campuses, sports stadiums, festivals, and even large-scale cultural facilities such as Everland and Caribbean Bay.
Eatgreen is a climate tech company that addresses the problem of disposable waste with a reusable container recycling system. They are promoting the use of reusable containers in the delivery sector through their eco-friendly delivery service, "Return It," which integrates with major delivery platforms like Baedal Minjok and Coupang Eats.
An official from Itgreen said, “Return Cup’s selection for the Good Design Award means that our eco-friendly service has been recognized for both its design perfection and social value,” and added, “We will continue to spread the culture of reuse in more living spaces based on user experience.”
