Decamp Partners with 500 Global

Decamp (CEO Park Young-hoon) announced on the 1st that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with global venture capital firm 500 Global (CEO Christine Tsai) in Silicon Valley, USA on August 28th (local time).

This partnership took place at 500 Global's headquarters in Palo Alto, California, and Decamp and 500 Global agreed to collaborate to expand overseas expansion and global investment opportunities for Korean startups. In particular, they plan to actively promote Korean startup participation in the Flagship Accelerator, 500 Global's flagship accelerator program, which is held locally in Silicon Valley.

As the first examples of this partnership, AI-based tabletop game studio Card Monster (CEO Soo-hyun Son) and AI-based influencer marketing solutions company Allsail Corporation (CEO Jeong-dong Kim), both recommended by Decamp, have joined 500 Global's flagship accelerator. Both companies plan to showcase their services at Demo Day in San Francisco on October 7th.

500 Global is a global venture capital firm that has invested in over 3,000 startups in over 80 countries, with approximately $2.1 billion (approximately KRW 2.9 trillion) in assets under management. It has been investing in the Korean market since 2012, establishing a Korean subsidiary in 2015 and currently managing three Korean-focused funds.

“We expect this partnership to positively contribute to helping Korean startups secure networks and resources in global markets, including Silicon Valley,” said Christine Tsai, CEO of 500 Global.

“This agreement is a meaningful milestone that connects Korea’s entrepreneurial spirit with Silicon Valley,” said Park Young-hoon, CEO of Decamp. “We will continue to provide support so that excellent Korean startups can challenge themselves and achieve success on the global stage.”
