Series Ventures (CEOs Seongwook Kwak and Junsang Park), a regional accelerator specializing in the Southeast region, announced on the 2nd that it had conducted a follow-up investment in the Series A bridge round of beauty tech startup LiveX (CEO Jeongwoong Song).
LiveX successfully secured a total of 4 billion won in Series A bridge investment through this round, with participation from existing investors Smart Study Ventures and BNK Investment & Securities, along with Series Ventures.
LiveX plans to use the secured funds to focus on ▲global expansion of hair salon brands 'WENEED' and 'SALON A' ▲strengthening the product lineup of premium vegan hair care brand 'TAMZ' and securing overseas distribution channels ▲enhancing digital marketing, etc.
The domestic beauty market has long been plagued by structural problems, including unreasonable treatment of workers, high barriers to entry, and a saturated competitive landscape. Consequently, demand is growing for a sustainable service model that both customers and hair stylists can trust.
To address these challenges, LiveX launched "Winnit," a hair designer-centric operating model, in 2021, and is currently operating "Salon A," which targets a diverse customer base. Furthermore, it has established a system for fostering professional talent and providing ongoing educational support through "BOB ACADEMY" and "HAIR CAMP."
Series Ventures co-CEOs Kwak Seong-wook and Park Jun-sang explained the background of their investment, saying, “LiveX is presenting a practical solution that can overcome the structural limitations of the existing beauty market,” and “We judged that its business structure, which organically connects salon operations, products, and an education platform, has both global scalability and sustainability.”
Song Jeong-woong, CEO of LiveX, said, “This investment is a meaningful result that recognizes not only our performance in the domestic market but also our potential for global expansion.” He added, “Based on our salon brand, products, and education platform, we will continue to set new standards in the global beauty industry beyond Asia.”
