Bowon Chemical files for preliminary review for KOSDAQ listing… BNK Investment & Securities to be the sole lead manager

Bowon Chemical (CEO Heo Chan-hoe) , a total chemical materials solutions company, announced on the 1st that it has submitted a preliminary application for listing on the KOSDAQ to the Korea Exchange. BNK Investment & Securities will serve as the sole lead manager for this listing, marking the company's first time underwriting a listing.

Founded in 1995, Bowon Chemical, headquartered in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, specializes in the production of surface materials for automotive interiors, building materials, and high-performance sheet materials. Its primary products are film products processed from plastic raw materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), and polyurethane (PU). These products are then processed into finished products through printing, surface treatment, and plywood processes.

Bowon Chemical has a total solution system that handles all processes in-house, from raw material processing to printing, surface treatment, and plywood. The company boasts high-spec equipment, including a gravure printer capable of up to 7-color printing, micro gravure printing, and 2,450mm repeat printing. It also operates a plywood process that bonds polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) foam to TPO and PVC sheets, a T-DIE process for forming PVC flooring sheets, tenoning for click installation, and electron beam (EB) crosslinking equipment.

The company plans to use this KOSDAQ listing to strengthen its research and development (R&D), expand its organization, and expand its production capacity through plant expansion and facility investments. This strategy aims to proactively respond to changing demand across various industries, including automobiles, construction, displays, and solar power. Furthermore, the company aims to secure local talent and establish a stable funding base, centered on its domestic factories.

“With this preliminary review request, we have begun full-scale preparations for listing,” said Chan-Hoe Heo, CEO of Bowon Chemical. “With the KOSDAQ listing as an opportunity, we will accelerate our R&D investment and production facility expansion, and contribute to the industrial ecosystem by expanding into domestic and international markets.”
