Universal Robots Partners with Technikon

Universal Robots, a global collaborative robot (cobot) specialist, announced on the 2nd that it has signed a Certified Solution Partner (CSP) agreement with Technicon, a Nordic automation company, for the pharmaceutical industry.

Technikon, an engineering company that has been a distribution and integration partner for Universal Robots since 2019, designs, develops, and manufactures customized automation solutions. Through this CSP agreement, Technikon will officially provide automation solutions specifically for the pharmaceutical industry, based on Universal Robots' collaborative robot technology.

Universal Robots recognizes Technikon as a partner with design and technological capabilities suited to the complex demands of the pharmaceutical industry. Through this agreement, Universal Robots anticipates expanding their joint efforts to improve production efficiency and quality across the life sciences sector. Technikon has been applying collaborative robots to solve a variety of pharmaceutical challenges, including filling processes, final assembly lines, laboratory quality control, and packaging automation.

“Technikon’s transition to CSP is a significant step forward in our partnership,” said Jean-Pierre Hathout, CEO of Universal Robots. “We anticipate that our combined technological expertise and customer-centric approach will create synergies in the pharmaceutical industry, where precision and reliability are critical.”

“Signing the CSP agreement is a significant milestone in Technikon’s global growth strategy,” said Casper Hansen, CEO of Technikon. “Working with Universal Robots will enable us to address the complex manufacturing and value chain challenges faced by international pharmaceutical companies.”
