Softsquared (CEO Lee Ha-neul, service name 'Gritzy') announced on the 3rd that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Kim Yong-woo, hereinafter 'Busan Changgyeong') for 'SW consulting and development team performance monitoring cooperation'.
This agreement aims to establish a collaborative system between the two organizations, aiming to improve startup project success rates and enhance transparency in the development ecosystem. By combining Softsquared's data-driven development team monitoring technology with Busan Changgyeong's startup support infrastructure, the goal is to create a systematic and reliable development environment.
Under the agreement, Softsquared will provide services to Busan Changgyeong's incubated and invested companies and recommended startups, including consulting on overall software development and development team operations, and supervision of development services within its support programs. Busan Changgyeong will cooperate in the operation of related programs and provide support to companies addressing practical challenges encountered during the development process.
In the startup world, it's common for companies to struggle to even launch an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) due to factors like a lack of development resources and a weak internal development team. This agreement focuses on establishing a system for regular development team assessments and performance reviews to proactively prevent and manage these issues.
The two organizations also plan to run joint programs, including clinics, training, and workshops, to provide practical assistance in various areas, such as vendor selection, development decision-making, RFP writing, and code reviews.
Eligible for support are startups in the pre-launch stage, seed, and Series A stages, as well as any company requiring external development resources. There are no regional restrictions. Through this initiative, both organizations aim to foster a transparent and fair software development ecosystem in the long term.
Kim Yong-woo, CEO of Busan Changkyung, said, “We hope this agreement will serve as an opportunity to substantially enhance the software development capabilities of local startups,” and added, “We will continue to support the growth of competitive technology startups in Busan.”
Lee Ha-neul, CEO of Softsquared, said, “We will help startups reduce development risks and grow based on their capabilities through Grid’s development team performance monitoring technology.”
