MegaZone Cloud (CEO Dong-Hoon Yeom) has built an AI-based system to improve the efficiency of GC Green Cross (CEO Eun-Cheol Heo)'s quality document creation.
By establishing this quality document writing support system, GC Green Cross has improved the reliability and consistency of its annual product evaluation reports and product trend analysis reports, reduced document writing time by more than 80%, and achieved quality innovation and work efficiency.
The newly built system was developed based on Megazone Cloud's generative AI consulting service 'Megazone AIR Consulting' and generative AI operation management service 'Megazone AIR Build', and Amazon Web Services (AWS)'s fully managed AI service 'Amazon Bedrock', and applied Anthropic's latest Large Language Model (LLM) 'Claude 3.7' and Augmented Search Generation (RAG) technology. RAG is a technology designed to enable LLM to search internal databases and external information in real time beyond simple pre-learned data and reflect it in responses.
Previously, data from SAP, the quality management system, and the laboratory information management system had to be manually collated to create documents. This resulted in significant time-consuming, repetitive tasks, and difficulties in ensuring consistency, as document structure and format varied depending on the person in charge. This system supports drafting to minimize work time and is designed to comply with the European Union's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines (Annex 22[1]). The final report must be reviewed by field staff before finalization.
GC Pharma's Kang Hyung-mook, head of digital innovation, said, "By reducing the time it takes to write documents using AI, we can now focus more on improving the level of quality control in the field. From the company's perspective, this has provided an opportunity to lead digital innovation in the pharmaceutical industry." He added, "We plan to continue to enhance the competitiveness of the pharmaceutical industry by expanding the adoption of AI in various fields."
MegaZone Cloud’s Chief AI Officer (CAIO) Seongbae Kong said, “The success of this system construction is a successful example that shows that AI and cloud technologies can lead to real results even in an environment with complex data and strict regulations such as the pharmaceutical industry.” He added, “Starting with this collaboration, we will support digital innovation across the entire healthcare industry more broadly.”
