September 4th, AllShowTV live broadcast… Contrabass-centered transition strategy revealed.
-Introducing key features such as GPU virtualization, scheduling, and non-disruptive migration.
– Propose a transition roadmap and operational solutions based on PoC verification and win-back cases.

Orchestra (CEO Beomjae Kim), an AI and cloud software company, will announce its transition strategy centered around its server virtualization solution, Contrabase, at the online webinar, “Beyond VMware 2025: Asking About a New Virtualization Strategy,” to be held on September 4th.
Since Broadcom's acquisition of VMware, the virtualization landscape has been rapidly reorganized across technology, operations, and licensing policies. This webinar is designed to provide practical transition strategies, architectures, and operational solutions to companies seeking new alternatives amidst this shift.
Under the theme "Beyond VMware, Starting with OKESTRO," Orchestra will present clear solutions for companies considering a VMware migration, highlighting Contrabass' core features and real-world success stories. The presentation, which will begin at 2:05 PM and last 35 minutes, will be delivered by Seo Young-seok, Head of Solution Strategy at Orchestra, who oversees Contrabass development.
The presentation session will detail features optimized for AI infrastructure environments, such as Contrabase's GPU virtualization, scheduling, and monitoring, along with features that enhance operational stability and efficiency, such as automatic snapshot creation based on schedules, optimal virtual machine placement, and host maintenance mode.
In addition, 'CONTRABASS-Legato', a specialized migration tool that enables operating system conversion, the biggest obstacle to running a VMware migration, implements a second-by-second cut-over function through continuous replication based on CDP (Continuous Data Protection), and enables stable migration of large-scale workloads without service interruption even in a VMware environment. Legato is officially specified as a reference architecture in the VMware migration white paper published by the OpenInfra Foundation, and its technical reliability and effectiveness have been verified through various projects.
Contrabase, built on an architecture optimized for cloud environments, is widely deployed across diverse industries, including the public sector, finance, and manufacturing. In a proof-of-concept (PoC) conducted in a mission-critical environment, it met all 92 requirements, including CPU, memory, and storage, and demonstrated stability and performance even in extreme environments.
Leveraging this technological expertise and project experience, Orchestra has successfully completed numerous VMware migrations. This webinar will focus on real-world project-based migration scenarios, specifically addressing the technical and operational challenges encountered during the migration process and sharing practical solutions.
The webinar will be broadcast live online via AllShowTV, and a separate access link will be sent to those who pre-register. Participation is free, and anyone can participate by pre-registering on the AllShowTV website.
Additionally, those who were unable to attend "Orchestro Solution Day 2025" on September 2nd can also explore "Contrabass"'s core strategies and key features through this webinar. This is expected to provide webinar viewers with strategic insights for transformation.
“Orchestro will provide the most stable transition roadmap as a realistic alternative with the technology and transition experience in the virtualization market, which has become increasingly uncertain due to changes in licensing policies,” said Kim Beom-jae, CEO of Orchestra. “In particular, based on performance and operational stability proven through rigorous PoC verification, Orchestra will become a practical solution that can solve the challenges facing companies.”
