Companoid Labs hires former SK Telecom Vice President Jeon Jin-soo as a venture partner.

Companoid Labs , a company builder-type UX innovation holding company, announced on the 3rd that it has recruited former SK Telecom Metaverse CO-CEO Jeon Jin-soo as a venture partner.

Partner Jeon Jin-soo previously worked at Samsung Electronics' Software Center and Wireless Business Division, and led AR, VR, and media technology development and 5G content planning at SK Telecom. Notably, he oversaw the planning and launch of the metaverse service "E-Friend," which achieved 1 million monthly active users (MAU) in just five months. He later founded the AI startup "Super Labs," where he pursued AI-based art and virtual human businesses. His business experience spans both large corporations and startups.

With the addition of its former partners, Companoid Labs plans to strengthen its capabilities in discovering new ventures and expanding its existing portfolio globally. In particular, the company anticipates that the former partners' experience will play a key role in the global business development and product strategy of Herbert Computer, a new AI internet company headed by Chairman Jang Jin-gyu.

The former partner stated, "With my extensive experience in technology, markets, and organizations, I want to make a real contribution to helping startups grow rapidly. Together with Companion Labs, I will help companies take the next leap forward."

Since transitioning to a holding company structure in September 2024, Companoid Labs has been expanding its organizational and business capabilities by rebranding its company building program "C Square" to "Angle Studio" and simultaneously establishing a venture fund.

“Partner Jeon Jin-soo has a rare background in establishing new businesses in the market,” said Jang Jin-gyu, Chairman of Companoid Labs. “His addition will be a significant milestone in Companoid Labs’ evolution from a UX-centric company to an AI-native corporate ecosystem.”
