Wave Company, a company specializing in the convergence of sports tech and healthcare, announced on the 5th that it will participate in GITEX DIGI HEALTH & BIOTECH Thailand 2025, which will be held at Hall 100, Booth DG-C20 of the BITEC exhibition center in Bangkok, Thailand from September 10th to 12th.
At this event, Wave Company will showcase its flagship product, "TracMe," a smartwear-based motion recognition and exercise coaching platform. Specifically, Wave Company will showcase its motion recognition method, which utilizes its proprietary TracSil™ silicon sensor material technology, unlike conventional inertial measurement unit (IMU) methods, on a global stage.
TracMe is a next-generation health tech solution that precisely detects human movement without a camera. It integrates flexible silicone strain sensors into fabrics, converting minute deformations resulting from body movement into electrical signals. This allows users to obtain highly accurate motion data without cameras or complex hardware, while also offering advantages in privacy protection and wearability.
This technology has potential applications in a variety of fields, including sports training, physical therapy and rehabilitation management, gait monitoring for the elderly, and remote healthcare. It is expected to meet the growing demand for digital healthcare, particularly in markets like Asia and Southeast Asia, where population aging and chronic diseases are on the rise.
GITEX DIGI HEALTH & BIOTECH is a global event bringing together leading digital health and biotech companies, investors, and healthcare professionals. It will attract over 14,000 visitors and experts from over 75 countries. Through this exhibition, Wave Company plans to showcase its TracSil™-based technology and its market expansion potential, while also exploring global R&D collaboration and investment opportunities.
A Wave Company official said, “TracSil™ is a core platform technology that opens up new possibilities for the wearable healthcare industry,” and added, “Through TracMe, we will present a next-generation motion recognition solution that does not rely on cameras and IMUs, and lead innovation in the global digital healthcare market.”
