Apartment Eye (CEO Choi Byeong-in), a platform for supporting apartment living, announced on the 9th that it signed a three-party memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Suwon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) and Aegis Enterprise to spread a culture of practicing carbon neutrality.
Through this agreement, Apartment Eye will provide an electronic billing service to apartment complexes in Suwon City. Electronic billing allows users to check their maintenance fees via mobile devices instead of paper. Users can view and pay their bills via a smartphone app.
According to Apartment Eye, the number of households that have switched to electronic billing has exceeded 1 million, and service applications are steadily increasing.
If this agreement is fully implemented, Suwon City is expected to save approximately 200 tons of paper annually. This will protect approximately 6,000 trees, reduce the use of approximately 200 million liters of water and 5 million kWh of electricity, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 400 tons.
Apartment Eye Planning Team Leader Yoo Gwan-hyung said, “Electronic bills not only reduce carbon emissions, but also have significant advantages over paper bills in terms of personal information protection,” and added, “Starting with this agreement with Suwon City, Apartment Eye will continue to carry out activities to spread an eco-friendly apartment culture.”
Apartment Eye is a mobile platform that currently provides management fee payment services for approximately 33,000 apartment complexes nationwide, and offers various apartment living support functions such as management fee inquiry and payment, visiting vehicle management, resident voting, community operation, and fire inspection.
