Xenon wins contract from Korea Gas Corporation to build in-house, generative AI service.

Generative AI solution company Xenon (formerly Minds & Company, CEO Seok-Tae Ko) announced on the 10th that it had won a contract for the ‘In-house Generative AI Service Construction’ project from Korea Gas Corporation.

This project aims to improve operational efficiency and strengthen digital capabilities at Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) through the use of AI technology. Xenon will build a customized generative AI system based on large-scale language models (LLM) and augmented search generation (RAG) technology in an on-premises environment.

Key implementation areas include: ▲implementing an in-house knowledge-based Q&A system; ▲introducing a generative AI platform operating system; and ▲providing a user-driven service design environment through a no-code service builder. Furthermore, user-centric features such as document permission management and search settings will be integrated.

For this project, Xenon is applying its proprietary enterprise-grade generative AI platform, GenOS. Based on the LLMOps system, the platform supports continuous model performance improvement and includes vector database-based search functions and various open-source model integration capabilities. The platform's flexibility and scalability are also ensured by applying frameworks such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A).

In particular, this project adopted a hybrid architecture designed to enable integration with external commercial LLM models in API format even within an internal network environment. This approach allows users to selectively use internal and external models.

Xenon previously commercialized a generative AI service at Korea Midland Power Co. This order, which follows the positive evaluation of that project, is interpreted as an extension of the growing trend of AI adoption in the energy and public sectors.

Through this implementation, the company plans to apply AI technology to a variety of tasks, including knowledge retrieval, system data retrieval, foreign language document creation, translation, and research, thereby achieving substantial efficiency improvements. Furthermore, post-implementation maintenance plans will support stable operation.

Xenon has been providing customized AI solutions to businesses across various industries, including finance, public sector, and energy. Building on its experience implementing systems tailored to domain-specific needs, Xenon is also considering further business expansion.
