Brils Signs Business Agreement with Hanyang University ERICA

Robotics company Brils (CEO Jeon Jin) announced on the 10th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hanyang University ERICA on the 9th regarding ‘cooperation in supporting educational equipment for robot technology development and human resource development.’

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from both sides, including Jeonjin Brils CEO and Park Tae-jun, Director of Hanyang University's ERICA Intelligent Robotics Division. The two organizations discussed cooperation plans for robotics technology development and the training of specialized personnel.

Under the agreement, the two organizations plan to pursue various collaborative activities, including developing curricula for robotics technology development and collaborative application, training and employment of robotics professionals, providing industry-linked consulting, and jointly operating corporate projects. Furthermore, to cultivate practical talent, the two organizations will jointly develop educational curricula, collaborate on research projects, and operate internship and field training programs.

As part of this collaboration, Brils will donate various robotics education equipment and solutions, including industrial robots and collaborative robots, to Hanyang University ERICA.

Meanwhile, the Robot Vocational Training Center, the core of this agreement, is a national project led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. It will be built on a 5,439-square-meter site in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, by 2028, with a total budget of KRW 25.9 billion. The center will offer core robotics industry training courses in areas such as manufacturing robot system integration (SI), service robot SI, autonomous mobile robots (AMR), robot software, and artificial intelligence (AI).
