The 2nd 'AI Introduction Practice Strategy Seminar', aimed at accelerating the introduction of AI in Chungbuk's industrial sites, was successfully held on September 10th at the Chungbuk Digital Innovation Support Center in Ochang, Cheongju.
This event, organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT, North Chungcheong Province, and Cheongju City and hosted by the North Chungcheong Science and Technology Innovation Center, was designed to solidify the foundation for AI adoption in cooperation with local companies.
The seminar, themed "Opening the Future of North Chungcheong Province with AI," focused on raising awareness of AI and promoting practical adoption among businesses in the province. Global tech giants like Microsoft, KT, Upstage, and LG AI Research Institute, as well as leading domestic AI companies, participated, sharing immediately applicable strategies and case studies, thereby increasing the potential for practical application for North Chungcheong businesses.
While the first seminar, held in July, focused on the "need and vision for AI transformation," this second seminar distinguished itself by focusing on customized implementation strategies and practical application cases tailored to industrial settings. Through this, North Chungcheong Province clearly demonstrated its commitment to leading the national effort to "expand AI centered on industrial sites."
The event was attended by approximately 90 people from 50 companies in North Chungcheong Province, including those in key strategic industries such as bio, semiconductors, and secondary batteries, showing great interest.
The program consisted of industry-focused special lectures, including ▲AI global hegemony competition and the roles of the state, companies, and local governments (Lee Rang-hyeok, Vice Chairman of the Super Large AI Promotion Council), ▲Manufacturing AX transition case using generative AI and Vision AI technology (Upstage Team Leader Kim Min-seong), ▲AI adoption case in domestic manufacturing (LG AI Research Lab Director Han Se-hee), and ▲One-stop AI transition support plan tailored to Chungbuk companies (Gurumi Headquarters Manager Park Ju-min). In addition, companies that pre-registered provided 1:1 AI adoption consultations with five expert consultants to help them develop actionable strategies.
In addition, Chungcheongbuk-do Province, Cheongju City, and Chungbuk Science and Technology Innovation Institute are promoting various projects this year to achieve digital transformation in the province, including ▲AX Industrial Innovation Forum ▲joint research support ▲capacity building program ▲investment attraction and global expansion linkage. Through these projects, they plan to continuously expand the advancement of regional key industries and the creation of an AI-based industrial innovation ecosystem.
