The Gyeonggi Innovation Center hosted the 33rd Startup 815 IR-SEED.

The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim, hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Center) held the 33rd Startup 815 IR-SEED at the Pangyo Startup Zone on September 11th. The event aimed to establish a foundation for market entry and growth for early-stage startups with climate change response technologies.

Three companies participated in this IR event: Enon (aquaculture farm wastewater resource recovery technology), GeoH-Tech (high-purity CO₂ capture technology), and Trimass (biochar-based eco-friendly concrete material). They captured the attention of the audience by introducing technologies in various fields, including resource recycling, carbon reduction, and eco-friendly building materials.

About 10 major domestic venture capital (VC) firms, including Simsan Ventures, NH Investment & Securities, Infobank, Impact Square, and MYSC, attended the event and reviewed the possibility of investment linkages based on technological prowess, commercialization potential, and global scalability.

An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “Climate tech is a field that requires strategic judgment from investors not only in terms of technological prowess but also in terms of marketability and sustainability,” adding, “We will continue to expand opportunities for practical cooperation between investors and startups.”
