Seelab Signs Business Agreement with Upstage

Vision AI specialist company Seelab (CEO Se-hyeok Yoon and Jeong-hwan Chae) announced on the 12th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AI solution company Upstage (CEO Seong-hun Kim) to commercialize LLM-based multimodal AI appliances.

Through this agreement, the two companies will jointly develop a multimodal AI appliance that can be immediately applied to industrial sites, focusing on ▲integrating GPU appliances with large-scale language models (LLMs) and ▲combining vision AI solutions with Korean-specific LLMs.

First, Upstage's LLM "Solar" will be integrated into Cielab's GPU appliance solution "AstraGo" to build an integrated AI platform. This will support everything from GPU cluster management to infrastructure optimization, providing a stable and efficient operating environment for large-scale language models and lowering the barriers to AI adoption for businesses.

Furthermore, by combining Upstage's Korean-specific models with Cielab's AI image analysis platform, XAIVA, we plan to provide customized solutions for industries such as semiconductors, biotechnology, and manufacturing. By applying Cielab's lightweight model technology, high-performance analysis will be possible even on low-spec GPU environments, leading to cost savings and maximum operational efficiency.

With this business agreement, the two companies plan to develop an AI appliance product that combines Seelab's industry-tailored vision AI solution and Upstage's cutting-edge LLM, and to accelerate the expansion of the AI ecosystem through joint marketing and entry into the global market.

Kim Seong-hun, CEO of Upstage, said, “We are delighted to be able to demonstrate the excellence of Solar and create application cases in real business environments through our collaboration with SeeLab. We will continue to introduce globally competitive AI solutions.”

“We will develop Korean AI software by combining Upstage’s LLM with GPU appliances and vision AI solutions, and create tangible results in industrial settings,” said Chae Jeong-hwan, CEO of C-Lab.
