Hanbok Life received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award for "2025 Domestic and International Market Development."

Hanbok Life Co., Ltd. (CEO Shin Jun-young), which operates the modern hanbok brand 'SHEEN:SEOUL', announced on the 15th that it received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award in the '2025 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Domestic and International Sales Channel Development and Marketing Contribution' award. This award is given to companies and organizations that have contributed to expanding sales channels and activating exports for small and medium-sized enterprises, and the award ceremony was held at the opening ceremony of '2025 Korea Sourcing Week'.

Hanbok Life Co., Ltd. has garnered attention through its brand "Shin:Seoul," which reinterprets traditional hanbok design elements in a contemporary way and applies them to the domestic and international fashion markets. Since launching the brand in 2022, founder and CEO Shin Jun-young has directly overseen design, brand strategy, overseas expansion, and marketing operations, expanding the business.

"Shin:Seoul" has been offering a new consumer experience, "wearable traditional culture," based on its design capabilities that incorporate unique Korean cultural elements, such as traditional patterns, Dancheong (traditional Korean paint), and the Ilwol Obongdo (paintings of the sun, moon, and five peaks), into modern clothing. Through this, the brand has secured the interest of domestic and international consumers and solidified its business strategy, aiming to make hanbok part of everyday life.

In recent years, Hanbok Life Co., Ltd. has secured a stable sales channel through collaborations with domestic distributors and online platforms, while also expanding its brand presence in the global market. The company has launched brand campaigns in key locations around the world, including the Times Square billboard in New York and the Citadelle in Paris, and has expanded its export performance through various international collaborations.

Notable collaborations include the production of limited-edition sneakers with a Nike distributor, designing outfits for Porsche's SSCL event, a global campaign with CJ ENM, and sponsoring the outfit of Ive's Jang Won-young. Furthermore, the brand has consistently increased its brand awareness by showcasing collections at venues such as the Sinchon Hyundai Department Store pop-up store, the Hi Seoul Fashion Show, and the New New Collection.

This award is evaluated as a recognition of the brand's potential for growth and cultural value expansion, as well as the creation of new demand in domestic and international markets through a modern reinterpretation of traditional culture.

CEO Shin Jun-young said, “This Minister’s Award is thanks to the efforts of all executives and employees who have worked to preserve the value of traditional culture and promote it in the global market,” and added, “We will continue to grow Hanbok into a global lifestyle brand so that more consumers can experience traditional culture in their daily lives.”
