DS Danseok , a resource recycling energy specialist, announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Energy Technology University (KENTECH, Acting President Jin-ho Park) for technology cooperation on energy storage systems (ESS).
The two organizations announced that through this MOU, they aim to secure competitiveness in future energy sectors, including ESS, by promoting joint research and personnel exchanges related to ESS. DS Danseok, in particular, stated that as it is developing business strategies and pursuing R&D for ESS commercialization, its collaboration with Kentech will accelerate the development of solutions, including the establishment of an ESS manufacturing base.
In May, DS Danseok signed an MOU with Kentec for joint research on next-generation nuclear power plants, SMR and MMR (small and micro reactors), and it is expected that the signing of this ESS MOU will enable the two organizations to continue close cooperation.
A DS Danseok official stated, “By expanding our cooperation with Kentec in the ESS field, we will be able to continue closer information and technology exchanges and accelerate the advancement of our ESS commercialization strategy.”
