Nootropic Lab Secures Seed Investment from CNT Tech-DB Dream Big Investment Partnership

Food tech startup Nootropic Lab announced that it has secured seed investment from the 'CNT Tech-DB Dream Big Investment Association', a joint venture between CNT Tech and DB Capital.

Nootropic Lab is a company that researches and develops beverages and functional products based on 'nootropic' substances that help improve brain function, aiming to improve concentration, cognitive ability, and stress relief.

While conventional energy drinks often rely on caffeine, sugar, and artificial additives, Pure Focus combines functional ingredients like L-theanine, biphylline, choline, and ginkgo extract to enhance focus without stimulation. Through this, Nootropic Lab is creating a new market segment: "healthy alternative energy drinks."

Nootropic Lab has secured scientific evidence and safety for its product formulas through collaboration with researchers at Seoul National University. In addition to beverages, the company plans to launch a diverse lineup of products in various forms, including sticks and capsules. Through these efforts, the company aims to grow into a "brain wellness" brand in both the domestic and Asian markets.

DB Capital Team Leader Kang Seok-min, who made this investment, said, “Nootropic Lab is introducing differentiated products in the functional beverage market and meeting the needs of health-conscious consumers,” and “Considering its research capabilities and market expansion potential, it is evaluated as a company with high future growth potential.”
