
The Korea Self-Reliance Welfare Development Institute (Director Jeong Hae-sik), a public institution under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, announced on the 17th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with the Korea Forest Welfare Promotion Institute (Director Nam Tae-heon) at the Forest Welfare Comprehensive Education Center located in Gwanjeo-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon to support the advancement of vulnerable youth and self-reliance enterprises into the forest welfare field.
This agreement aims to assist low-income youth in entering society and support the stable growth of self-reliant businesses. The two organizations plan to collaborate in discovering new job models utilizing forest welfare resources and expanding sales channels for self-reliant businesses.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲development and operation of a forest welfare sector job and business start-up support project for vulnerable youth, ▲expanding sales channels for self-reliance products linked to national forest welfare facilities, and ▲supporting the development and expansion of self-reliance business models linked to forest healing food technology.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to operate various programs, including career camps, qualification acquisition, and work experience, to help low-income youth find employment or start businesses in the forest welfare sector.
Director Jeong Hae-sik said, “This agreement is an important turning point that will expand opportunities for self-reliance for vulnerable youth and self-reliance businesses in the new field of forest welfare,” and added, “We will continue to work with various public and private organizations to strengthen the competitiveness of self-reliance businesses and help more vulnerable groups achieve sustainable jobs and self-reliance.”
