Green Plus Signs 7.4 Billion Won Smart Farm Supply Contract

Green Plus , a smart farm specialist company, announced on the 22nd that it had signed a smart farm supply contract worth a total of 7.4 billion won in Buyeo-gun, South Chungcheong Province and Boseong-gun, South Jeolla Province.

This contract is a smart farm construction project led by the Buyeo and Boseong branches of the Korea Rural Community Corporation, and its main contents include the creation of a public training farm and the distribution of smart farms to general farmers.

The smart farm training farm being built in Hapsong-ri, Gyuam-myeon, Buyeo-gun is a public project aimed at providing education and entrepreneurship support to young farmers. The total contract amount is approximately 4.7 billion won. The project was directly commissioned by the Korea Rural Community Corporation and focuses on establishing a foundation for regional agricultural revitalization and the stable establishment of young farmers.

The smart farm being developed in the Bonghwa-ro area of Boseong-eup, Boseong County, Jeollanam-do, is a private-sector partnership project targeting both general farmers and young farmers. The project will be implemented through a brokerage model, with the Korea Rural Community Corporation selecting construction companies and matching them with farmers. The contract value is approximately 2.7 billion won. This project is considered a new model for smart farm expansion through public-private partnerships.

Green Plus previously secured orders for smart farms worth approximately 26.5 billion won in the private sector in July, and through this public sector contract, it is simultaneously expanding its order base in both the private and public sectors.

A company official said, “This public sector order is an example of how the smart farm market is expanding from the private sector to the public sector in earnest,” and added, “With both public and private demand increasing, we expect the best performance ever in the smart farm business sector this year.”
