Gangwon Innovation Center Hosts '2025 Gangwon Local Venture Business Networking – Fall Break'

The Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Hae-Jeong Lee, hereinafter referred to as the Gangwon Innovation Center) announced on the 23rd that it held a networking event fall break as part of the '2025 Gangwon Local Venture Business Promotion Project' at the Yangyang Sol Beach Resort Convention Center on the 19th.

This event was planned to promote exchange and cooperation between local venture companies in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, and a total of 25 people, including representatives and executives from 11 local venture companies in the province, attended.

The event program consisted of ▲a keynote speech by Choi Ji-baek, CEO of The Wave Company, titled 'Definition of Local Ventures, Current Status of Support Projects, and Entrepreneur's Mindset' ▲a special lecture by Kim Seok-gi, CEO of Yangyang Youth Cooperative, titled 'Surfboard Artwork' ▲free networking between participating companies, etc.

In particular, CEO Choi Ji-baek garnered sympathy from the participants through his lecture, explaining the concept of local ventures, the current status of support policies, and his perspective and attitude as a regional entrepreneur.

“It was a time of practical learning and inspiration through exchanges with other companies,” said CEO Jinhee Jeong of Le Sabong, who participated in the event. “I hope that this type of exchange will continue to expand and have a positive impact on the local startup ecosystem.”

An official from the Gangwon Innovation Center said, “This event was an opportunity for not only local business representatives but also executives and employees to participate and share diverse voices from the field and build a foundation for practical cooperation.” He added, “We will continue to provide active support so that local ventures can grow beyond the region and onto the national and global stages.”

Meanwhile, the Gangwon Local Venture Business Development Project is being promoted with support from the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. It contributes to the revitalization of the local economy by discovering and nurturing businesses that incorporate innovative ideas based on the region's characteristics and resources.
