Meisa Wins the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the 2025 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo

Meisa, a drone and satellite-based spatial analysis AI platform company, won the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award in the Urban Safety and Disaster Prevention category at the '2025 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo.'

This award reflects Meisa's demonstration of the potential for use in urban safety and disaster prevention through its ground subsidence management solution based on satellite interferometry (InSAR).

Meisa's ground subsidence monitoring technology utilizes satellite imagery to precisely measure ground displacement in urban areas and soft-ground areas at approximately 12-day intervals. This technology can be used to preemptively assess ground stability in areas planned for railway, road, and infrastructure construction, and to identify and manage risk areas.

During the actual technology demonstration process, InSAR analysis was performed on major sinkhole-prone areas in Korea, demonstrating early detection of ground subsidence patterns. This is expected to strengthen disaster response systems for local governments and public institutions and improve the efficiency of urban infrastructure maintenance.

“This award is the result of an evaluation of the field applicability and precision of our technology,” said CEO Meisa Naboyeop. “We plan to continue advancing our technology in the fields of urban safety and disaster prevention.”

Meanwhile, the "2025 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo," co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, and Samcheok City, will be held in the Jeongra District of Samcheok City from September 24th to 27th. This expo showcases innovative cases from the private and public sectors, focusing on four areas: smart cities, climate response, construction and innovation, and local revitalization.
