TikTok, the global short-form video platform, is unveiling its "TikTok Change Makers Program 2025," which seeks to discover and support creators driving positive social change. The platform is also launching new features to encourage community participation in donations, strengthening the platform's social impact and working with creators and communities to create real change.
The "Change Makers Program," now in its second year, selects and highlights creators driving positive change both on and off the platform as "Change Makers," and systematically supports their efforts. The program, which launched last year, generated over 7,000 posts using the hashtag #TikTokforGood, signifying TikTok's positive influence, sparking meaningful conversations.
This year, 50 creators from around the world will be selected as Changemakers and provided with professional training and resources through a five-month program. TikTok will also provide creators with practical opportunities to connect with diverse leaders and expand their social impact through exclusive events and networking opportunities.
In Korea, two creators were selected as 2025 Changemakers.
The first protagonist is Dr. Howoo ( @dr.howoo , real name Lee Ho-woo). A pain medicine specialist, he delivers medical knowledge in an accessible and engaging way, using TikTok to help the public access health information in a friendly manner. His specialty is combining scientific explanations with storytelling to help viewers understand their bodies and make informed health decisions. His philosophy of "making medicine less intimidating and more humane" is why he was selected, contributing to raising awareness about health and the importance of prevention.
The second is Nan ( @rlasks1222 , real name Kim Nan). A certified sex educator and counselor, she fosters open dialogue about bodies, relationships, and emotional well-being with children, adolescents, and parents. With warmth, clarity, and humor, she fosters a safe and respectful environment for even sensitive topics, providing psychological relief to many. Guided by her philosophy of "creating a space where people can talk honestly and with dignity about their bodies, emotions, and relationships," Nan has garnered attention for creating a safe space for communication through TikTok.
TikTok is also strengthening its technology to enable the entire community to participate in creating social value. A new feature allows users to easily incorporate creator-initiated fundraising into their own content, amplifying the impact of fundraising campaigns. Users can add donation stickers or fundraising links to their posts, stories, and profiles to promote the campaign to potential donors and build engagement. Furthermore, accessibility has been improved by introducing a feature that allows users to easily discover and participate in a variety of ongoing fundraising campaigns within the app. These new features are currently available in select countries.
“Our 2024 Changemakers have driven meaningful conversations both on and off TikTok, and have created real change alongside their communities,” said Kim Farrell, TikTok’s Global Head of Creators. “We’ll continue to work closely with this year’s creators to provide them with the tools, resources, and opportunities to drive positive change and have even greater impact.”
