Pablo Aviation, a company specializing in autonomous swarm control of unmanned vehicles, has completed the merger process with Volk, a defense manufacturing precision machining specialist, and has appointed Kim Young-jun as its new CEO, declaring a new vision for a leap forward on the global stage.

On the 26th, Pablo Air held the ‘Pablo Air Merger Commemorative Vision Declaration Ceremony and Chairman Kim Young-jun Inauguration Ceremony’ at the Changwon Center (former Volk Changwon Plant) with the participation of executives and employees of the merged company, and shared its future vision.

Chairman Kim Young-jun, who took office that day, said, “Pablo Air, which started with just three people in 2018, has achieved meaningful results by accumulating 39 billion won in investment and gathering 150 talented people in just seven years. I am deeply moved that this merger has prepared us for an even greater leap forward.” He continued, “Now, Pablo Air, with its 270 executives and employees working together as one, will redefine the limits in the fields of drones and unmanned robots and become a pioneer that sets new standards in the global market.”

In particular, Chairman Kim Young-jun emphasized the positive synergy between Pablo Aviation, which possesses AI and swarm flight control capabilities, and its outstanding precision processing technology, as a "drone and unmanned robot platform company" capable of mass production.

Chairman Kim Young-jun said, “Pablo Aviation’s swarm coordination and precision flight control technology encompassing land, sea, and air mobility are at the highest level in Korea. If we can mass-produce high-quality drones and unmanned robots through our precision processing technology, I believe we will be sufficiently competitive in the global market.” He declared, “Through this, Pablo Aviation will secure a competitive edge in the global defense and civilian markets, achieve a corporate value of 5 trillion won by 2030, and advance into a truly global company that can go beyond a domestic IPO and be listed on the U.S. stock market.”

Following the merger, Pablo Aviation reorganized its organization into two business divisions: the Civil Business Division and the Defense Business Division, formalizing a "two-track" management system.

The Civil Business Division plans to accelerate the discovery of innovative service models and the development of new global markets by ▲ advancing fireworks drone show technology, ▲ entering the MRO market through AI swarm drone-based aircraft exterior inspection solutions, ▲ commercializing drone delivery services, ▲ developing UAM (urban air mobility) solutions, and ▲ integrating semiconductor module facilities and automation line businesses.

In addition, the defense division aims to create an integrated system for land, sea, and air unmanned systems by ▲ mass-producing cluster reconnaissance and suicide drone systems through the defense brand PabloM, ▲ expanding the portfolio of Volk's defense combat system cabinets and control consoles, radar actuators, and defense core precision mechanical processing products.
