Luid Changes Company Name to Socra AI, "Building a New Education Paradigm Using AI"

Artificial intelligence (AI)-based edutech company Luid (CEO Park Soo-young) announced on the 30th that it has changed its name to ' Socra AI' and is moving forward with establishing a new education paradigm utilizing AI technology.

The new mission, "Socra AI," is inspired by the ancient philosopher Socrates' method of questioning and answering. It embodies the vision of "AI that empowers people," guiding learners' thinking and supporting autonomous learning through questions and dialogue, rather than simply providing correct answers. The mission change aims to overcome the limitations of existing AI-based education systems and provide a learner-centered, interactive learning experience.

Socra AI is used both as a mission statement and as the name of a key product slated for release in the future. This December, the company plans to launch an open beta service based on "Educationally Aligned GPT," a technology designed for educational purposes. Unlike typical GPT technologies, this AI is designed to encourage learners to think and develop their own answers, rather than simply providing the correct answer.

“We are entering an era where anyone can have an AI personal tutor,” said Park Soo-young, CEO of Socra AI. “We will support every learner to realize their potential by having their own AI Socrates.”
