Orot (CEO Choi Yeon-hee), a subscription-based juice brand based in Gwangju and invested in by Coles Dynamics (CEO Kang Jong-soo), and Check Point Bread (CEO Pi Jeong-chan), a food tech company based in Busan, were selected for the Small Business Corporation's '2025 LIPS Program.'
The LIPS program is a small business version of the "TIPS" technology startup support program jointly operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Business Market Service. Private operators recommend small businesses with high growth potential, and the program matches private investment with government funding. Since being selected as a private LIPS operator in 2025, Coles Dynamics has successfully fostered local food and restaurant startups, becoming the second and third companies to launch such programs, following Nosh Project.
Founded in 2022, Oroti specializes in low-sugar wellness juices, characterized by its 100% hand-squeezed, freshly-ordered fruit and vegetable juices. In particular, the company collaborates with young farmers in Naju, South Jeolla Province, using only local produce and embodying the values of "local production, local consumption." The company currently offers five daily products and is pursuing a subscription service agreement with a hospital in Gangnam, Seoul. The company also recently opened a store in Shinsegae Department Store's Gwangju branch, with plans for offline expansion.
Choi Yeon-hee, CEO of Orot, said, “By being selected as LIPS, we have laid the foundation for business expansion,” and “We will strengthen brand synergy by expanding our cold storage and entering offline stores in the metropolitan area.”
Founded in 2019, Checkpoint Bread is a food tech company that provides integrated services such as food manufacturing, distribution, franchising, IT platforms, and smart kitchen appliance development. It focuses on solving operational challenges for self-employed restaurant owners through IT technology, operating the restaurant community platform "Checkpoint Bread" and the employee attendance management app "Check Salary." The company is also expanding into manufacturing and technology development areas, including sous vide, meal kit production and distribution, and smokeless grills.
“With the selection as LIPS, we plan to reduce the burden of operating stores for self-employed business owners and promote innovation in the restaurant industry based on food tech,” said CEO of Pijeongchan Checkpoint Bread.
Since its founding in 2013, CallsDynamics has focused on fostering local startups, achieving a cumulative total of 3,273 incubated companies, 162 investment deals, and approximately KRW 41 billion in revenue. CEO Kang Jong-soo stated, "We have once again proven that local food and restaurant brands can thrive in national and global markets. We will continue to accelerate the development of an ecosystem for entrepreneurs and small business owners."
