A networking event where Korean startups can connect directly with global partners is opening in the heart of New York City. " VSQ Showcase Lounge, " co-hosted by Venture Square, a startup accelerator specializing in media, and bcdW Magazine, a New York-based media platform, will be held at Loft39 near Bryant Park on October 15th (local time).
This year's "VSQ Showcase Lounge" is an exhibition and networking event designed to foster interaction and practical collaboration opportunities between Korean startups and brands across various sectors, including sports, culture, content, and F&B, with the local New York community and global partners. Specifically, it is designed to foster broader global collaboration by connecting with the Indian, African, and Asian communities in New York.
The event will be attended by companies participating in the "Tap the Untapped Potential New York Program" hosted by the Korea Arts Management Service, companies participating in Incheon Technopark's global proof-of-concept (PoC) program Tryout, Free Illusions, a studio affiliated with the Korea Creative Content Agency, and SG Labs, a portfolio company of Venture Square. These companies will showcase their products and services in a New York-style lounge-style space, operate experiential spaces, and provide a meeting lounge for networking with companies and organizations visiting the Koom Festival in advance.

This event goes beyond a simple startup showcase, serving as a strategic platform for exploring collaboration opportunities in the global market and expanding social impact. In particular, the "A-TO-A Connect Stage," held on the same day, will serve as an action platform for solving local New York problems and fostering global collaboration, providing yet another opportunity for participating startups.
Venture Square anticipates a variety of strategic outcomes from this event, including: ▲connections with local New York media and global networks, ▲proposing global social impact programs and funds, and ▲establishing a practical collaboration model with local communities.
“Sustainable social and economic change is possible when the local and global are connected simultaneously,” said a representative of bcdW Magazine. “This collaboration can be the starting point for new solidarity between cities, businesses, and communities.”
The VSQ Showcase Lounge will put new possibilities to the test, exploring how Korean startups' technological prowess and content capabilities can connect with the global community.
