Nota (CEO Myung-soo Chae), an AI optimization and lightweight technology company, announced on the 13th that its AI model automatic optimization platform 'Netpresso' has received 'Advanced Technology Product' certification from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
This certification is a national technology certification granted by the government in official recognition of technological innovation and industrial value, and Netpresso was recognized for its technological prowess in the ‘Embedded Software Field – Software Technology for NPU’ category.
Netpresso is a platform that efficiently compresses, optimizes, and deploys AI models across a variety of hardware environments, from AI semiconductors to IoT devices. It reduces model size by up to 90% while maintaining accuracy, reducing development and operational costs and enabling rapid commercialization.
Nota is expanding its technological influence across the edge intelligence industry by supplying AI model optimization technology to numerous global semiconductor companies, including Samsung Electronics, Qualcomm, Renesas, and Sony. Recently, the company introduced LLM optimization technology, enabling the operation of large-scale language models (LLMs) even on low-spec devices, broadening the scope of on-device AI applications to diverse industries, including manufacturing, home appliances, and IoT.
Nota CEO Chae Myeong-su said, “This certification is significant in that Nota’s AI optimization technology has been recognized for its industrial value even by national standards.” He added, “We will continue to expand on-device AI to various industrial sites based on our technological competitiveness and grow into a leading AI technology company in the global market.”
Meanwhile, Nota has been recognized for its AI optimization and lightweight technology, including being selected as an elite team for the government-led 'AI National Representative (Independent AI Foundation Model Development Project)', and recently passed its securities report, and is preparing for a KOSDAQ listing within the year.
