Seoul Startup Hub Changdong, a startup support organization operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency (SBA, CEO Kim Hyun-woo), is recruiting companies to move in for the second half of the year until October 31.
This recruitment is for startups that have been in business for less than 7 years (less than 10 years for new industries), and will focus on discovering and supporting promising companies in the media and creative industries.
Seoul Startup Hub Changdong, one of Seoul's startup support facilities, is fostering a media-focused startup hub in the northeastern region. It supports the growth of resident companies through cutting-edge infrastructure like an XR Studio and open innovation programs. Through these initiatives, the hub aims to facilitate the scale-up of outstanding startups, create quality jobs, and revitalize Seoul's startup ecosystem.
This year, we plan to expand our investment support and networking initiatives to help startups increase their corporate value and broaden the foundation of the creative industry (media) startup ecosystem.
Selected companies will reside in the program for one year, with an option to extend for up to three years through evaluation. Final resident companies will be selected based on a comprehensive review of their business plans, including their feasibility, marketability, and growth potential. Final results will be notified individually via email, and newly accepted companies will be able to occupy independent office space starting December 1st.
Applications can be submitted through the Startup Plus website for approximately one month, from Wednesday, October 1st to Friday, October 31st.
Kim Jong-woo, head of the Seoul Economic Promotion Agency's Startup Headquarters, said, "As a startup hub in the creative industries, we will provide generous support to companies located in Seoul Startup Hub Changdong so that they can grow into global companies."
