
The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim, hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center) announced that it held a kick-off event for companies selected for the 2025 Startup Leap Package (Deep Tech sector) under the theme of “Deep Dive for Scale-up! Deep Leap, Shared Growth” at the conference room of the Pangyo Startup Zone in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do on October 15th.
This event, attended by approximately 50 people, including 25 deep-tech startups selected for the Startup Leap Package, was organized to provide guidance on business operation directions and support programs, and to establish a foundation for networking and cooperation among participating companies.
The main program of the event consisted of ▲1-minute corporate introductions (speeches) of the 25 selected companies ▲Guidance on commercialization support and training on project cost execution ▲Introduction of the ‘Technology Transfer Innovation Bridge Program’ ▲Free networking among participating companies.
In particular, on-site discussions took place on practical cooperation plans between startups, as well as active information exchange on future investment linkages, global expansion, and technology transfer strategies.
Through this supplementary budget project, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center plans to actively pursue customized programs to discover promising startups in deep tech fields such as AI and big data, and support technological advancement, commercialization, overseas expansion, and investment attraction.
Key programs include the 'Technology Transfer Innovation Bridge Program', which supports technology matching and commercialization between technology providers and startups, the 'Global Star Venture Program', which supports overseas expansion through overseas acceleration and connections with global investment firms, and the 'Startup 815 IR Program', which provides customized IR for each stage of corporate growth.
Kim Won-kyung, head of the Gyeonggi Innovation Center, said, “For deep tech startups, not only technological prowess but also market entry strategies and global cooperation capabilities are important.” He added, “We will strengthen acceleration so that AI and big data-based technologies can spread throughout the industry, and we will not spare support to help startups secure global competitiveness.”
Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center has nurtured over 700 AI and big data-based companies since its opening, and is contributing to the revitalization of the startup ecosystem through open innovation and global partnerships with major corporations such as KT and LG Electronics.
