Lockin Company Signs Strategic Business Agreement with Gear Second

Lockin Company (CEO Myung-kyu Choi) , a mobile application security specialist, announced on the 16th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with game developer Gear Second (CEO Min-sang Kim) for security threat response and technological cooperation in the mobile game environment.

This agreement was signed as part of a technical collaboration aimed at addressing various security threats that can arise in mobile game apps, including hacking, memory manipulation, repackaging, cheat tool insertion, and rooting. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to enhance the operational stability of their game services and user trust.

At the heart of this collaboration is Lockin Company's integrated security solution, LIAPP. LIAPP provides a security module that detects and blocks various attack vectors in real time, from app launch to runtime. It is a no-code-based security platform that can be applied without any source code modifications. Key features include app forgery/tampering and decompilation detection, anti-debugging, rooting detection, real-time memory protection, network encryption, and encrypted storage of personal information.

LIAPP also enables agile response through its "policy control function," which allows remote changes to security policies without the need for app redeployment. This feature is considered ideal for gaming environments with rapid update cycles and large user bases.

Gear Second plans to sequentially implement LIAPP not only in its current games but also in new projects under development. This will strengthen client security, block unauthorized access, protect game balance, and foster a fair playing environment.

“Mobile games can be vulnerable to client security due to the nature of being installed on the user’s terminal environment,” said Choi Myeong-gyu, CEO of Lockin Company. “LIAPP is designed with a structure that can block real-time hacking threats without complex settings, so you can expect a high return on investment in game security.”

Gear Second CEO Kim Min-sang said, “In the global gaming market, security is a key factor that determines user trust,” and added, “Through our collaboration with Lockin Company, we will be able to secure security at the system level, not just the code level, and simultaneously improve game quality and operational efficiency.”
