International relief NGO Global Share (CEO Seong-Hoon Koh) announced on the 17th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Hongcheon-eup Community Security Council (Co-chairs In-Sik Lee and Kyung-Sook Shin).
This agreement was established to strengthen support for vulnerable groups in Gangwon Province and establish a public-private welfare cooperation system. Global Share has been consistently providing support to local daycare centers, child protection facilities, and social welfare centers, which often lack welfare resources compared to the metropolitan area.
On the day of the agreement signing, 1 million won worth of convenience food was purchased and delivered from the Hongcheon Nonghyup Hanaro Mart to low-income and vulnerable senior citizens, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
Hongcheon-eup Community Social Security Council Co-chairs Shin Kyung-sook and Lee In-sik said, “We are pleased that this opportunity has been created for public-private cooperation to eliminate blind spots in welfare, and we hope that various activities for the underprivileged in the region will continue in the future.”
Global Share CEO Ko Seong-hun stated, “We have continued to provide support that reflects the real needs of small local cities,” and added, “Through this agreement, we will strive to build a tight welfare safety net.”
Global Share, an international relief NGO founded in 2017, carries out various welfare projects, including providing daily necessities, education, and medical support to children from crisis-affected families, low-income families, and single-parent families both domestically and internationally. The organization also collaborates with local governments and welfare organizations, including Gangwon Province, to continue community-based sharing activities.
