Wilco Secures 5 Billion Won in Investment… "Full-Scale Mass Production of Key Battlefield and Defense Materials Begins"

WiLCO Inc., a company specializing in high-performance electronic materials, announced that it has completed a Series A funding round totaling 5 billion won. This round was jointly participated by four major domestic venture capital firms: Comes Investment, Albatross Investment, Company K Partners, and Mirae Asset Venture Investment.

Investors have focused on the industrial potential of Wilco's high-heat-dissipation, low-k copper-clad laminate (CCL) and electric vehicle (EV) battery insulation materials. These technologies are emerging as key materials across next-generation industries, including defense, battlefields, and AI computing. With proof-of-concept (PoC) and mass production preparations underway with global companies such as Hanwha Systems, LG Group, and Continental AG, their commercial viability is being confirmed.

Based on this investment, Wilco plans to focus on ▲building mass production facilities for high-heat-dissipation, low-k composite materials (MARU-Series), ▲expanding certification of insulation materials for defense and battlefield applications, and ▲improving research and development (R&D) and quality management systems to respond to overseas customers.

“This investment has confirmed that Wilco’s materials technology has been recognized as competitive in the market,” said Park Sang-won, CEO of Wilco. “We will continue to grow into a core electronic materials company targeting the global defense, battlefield, and AI semiconductor markets.”

Founded in 2021, Wilco operates a diverse product lineup, including the "NURI," "MARU," and "IEUM" series, based on proprietary technology in the "Low-K & High-Thermal Conductive CCL" field, applicable to antennas, AESA radars, high-performance computing (HPC), and GPU modules. Technology validation is currently underway with major domestic and international companies.
