VivaLabs Announces AI-Based Strength Training Solution for Seniors at the 2025 Smart City & Sports Summit

AI healthcare company VivaLabs (CEO Ha-young Lim) introduced its AI-based senior-tailored strength training solution at the '2025 Smart City & Sports Summit' held at the SKY31 Convention Center in Seoul on the 21st.

This summit, co-hosted by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, was attended by approximately 350 participants from city and sports-related organizations and technology companies from over 40 countries. VivaLabs was invited to present in the session "Digital Toolbox: Using Smart Technology to Deliver a High-Tech Experience," and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kim Hye-bin delivered the presentation.

In her presentation, COO Kim Hye-bin noted Korea's rapidly aging population, noting that more than 20% of seniors over 80 suffer from sarcopenia, which puts them at risk for hip fractures due to falls. She emphasized the need for data-driven, personalized exercise management that takes into account individual health conditions.

VivaLabs' AI solution, EasyTenics, comprehensively analyzes muscle strength, balance, cardiopulmonary endurance, pain, and specific areas of pain to design a personalized exercise program. The program is then re-evaluated every four to eight weeks to ensure updates. Offline group exercise sessions offer expert one-on-one coaching and safety management, providing an integrated online-offline cycle of "measurement → prescription → management."

“When AI analysis and expert coaching are combined, seniors can develop safer and more sustainable exercise habits,” said Kim Hye-bin, COO.

VivaLabs plans to open the VivaLabs Senior Customized Fitness Center near Seoul Olympic Park on October 27th. The center will provide AI-based personalized physical fitness measurement and exercise prescription programs, and will operate an integrated fitness service that includes medical elements such as sarcopenia prevention and blood sugar management.

CEO Lim Ha-young stated, “We are setting a new standard for senior health care using AI, and starting with this center, we plan to expand our senior-tailored strength training services domestically and internationally.”
