Series Ventures invests in AI-based eco-friendly 3D printing company Godtech.

Series Ventures has completed its investment in Godtech Co., Ltd., which is developing an eco-friendly resource circulation solution that combines AI-based additive manufacturing (3D printing) and resource recycling technology.

GATTECH is developing repair and manufacturing solutions utilizing additive manufacturing and recycling technologies to replace high-value-added industrial materials and components, which have previously relied entirely on imports, with domestic technologies.

Godtech's Directed Energy Deposition (DED) repair process uses a laser to melt and deposit metal powder to precisely repair damaged areas. This process minimizes material loss and ensures superior mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy. Process automation and digital control technology ensure consistent quality. Compared to conventional welding, the process is recognized as an environmentally friendly process that reduces energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.

This technology has high potential for use in the manufacturing and maintenance of core components for high-temperature and highly corrosive environments, such as aerospace, power generation, national defense, and shipbuilding and marine industries, and is expected to enter the domestic and international eco-friendly manufacturing markets.

Series Ventures CEOs Kwak Seong-wook and Park Jun-sang evaluated Gottech's technology as having great potential to create a sustainable manufacturing ecosystem by combining AI, additive manufacturing, and resource recycling. Gottech CEO Park Ki-deok stated, "Based on this investment, we plan to advance scrap metal recycling technology and eco-friendly manufacturing processes."
