Adin Robotics (CEOs Choi Hyuk-ryeol and Lee Yun-haeng) announced on the 3rd that it signed a 'MOU for joint development of robots and humanoids for implementing physical AI' with Doosan Robotics (CEO Kim Min-pyo) on the 31st of last month.
This agreement aims to develop next-generation robot control technology for implementing physical AI, based on Adin Robotics' precision force and torque sensor technology and Doosan Robotics' robot control technology. The two companies plan to jointly develop physical AI-based robot control technology and sensor and gripper manipulation technology, and expand the scope of their collaboration to include humanoid solutions.
Based on its proprietary force sensing technology, Aiden Robotics develops and mass-produces a variety of precision sensors, including a six-axis force and torque sensor for collaborative robots. These products support precise robot motion control and safe collaboration with humans.
Last September, Aidin Robotics unveiled its new sensor lineup at the 'Conference on Robot Learning 2025' and 'Humanoid 2025' international academic conference. The products unveiled included ▲Tactile Sensor (ATT), ▲High-precision 6-axis force/torque sensor for wrist (AFT150), and ▲3-axis force/torque sensor for measuring ground reaction force (3FT1000/2000). These sensors are mounted on the hands and feet of humanoid robots to implement sophisticated sensory functions.
Doosan Robotics is the leading company in the domestic collaborative robot market and the fourth largest in the global market. It supplies robots to various industries, including manufacturing, food technology, and logistics, and has a partner network in over 45 countries.
This collaboration is expected to enhance the precision and safety of robots working alongside humans and accelerate the commercialization of physical AI technology by combining Doosan Robotics' control and system technology with Adin Robotics' precision sensor technology.
Aiden Robotics CEO Lee Yoon-haeng said, “Aiden’s force sensing technology and Doosan Robotics’ collaborative robot technology will combine to bring about an era in which robots can feel and act,” and “Through the fusion of our two companies’ technologies, we will present the optimal robot solution that will lead the era of physical AI.”
